Ashray Akruti Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD) with a State Award Win!
Ashray Akruti proudly marked IDPwD 2024 at Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam, with over 1,400 attendees, including students, parents and esteemed dignitaries Chief Guest Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Department of IT&C and Industries & Commerce, along with Guests of Honour Mr. Sudhir Sunkara, Qualcomm; Mr. Sarath Babu Chitirala, State Street; Mr. Abhishek Kar Majumdar, SBI Life; Mr. Sreeman Kadali, Supergas Foundation; Mr. Ramesh Jampula, Dell; Ms. Neetu Chadda, State Street; Mr. Sudhir Narisetty, ZF India Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. D. P. K. Babu, Managing Director, Ashray Akruti. Themed “Amplifying Ability for an Inclusive Tomorrow”, the event celebrated inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment.
Among the day’s highlights was the launch of the State Street Skill Development Initiative Video, a digital platform designed to empower differently-abled teenagers through skill-building and career guidance. The programme also featured the distribution of cochlear sound processors and hearing aids, a life-changing gift for children with hearing impairments, as well as the presentation of CSR Excellence Awards and MMA Employer Excellence Awards, recognising organisations committed to advancing inclusion and empowerment. Awards were presented to the Science Exhibition and Drawing Competition winners, further promoting mutual understanding and inclusion.
The celebration included inspiring cultural performances by students, recognition of former students who have secured employment and heartfelt speeches from parents and educators about the transformative impact of Ashray Akruti’s initiatives. It was a day of collaboration, inspiration and progress, uniting communities for a brighter, inclusive future.
