Sign Language

Ashray Akruti offers a two months long  sign language course for beginners. While learning sign language is a necessity for a hearing impaired person ,it can be a valuable asset for  hearing person as well . For a hearing person learning sign language can be an important  skill to be able to communicate with hearing impaired people. Learning sign language  can help in   bridging  the gap between a hearing and a hearing impaired person.

We foresee in the near future, a significant increase in demand for sign language interpreters at corporate organizations and public entities such as hospitals and police stations to name a few. Learning sign language can add great value to one’s profile/CV and can open the door to new job opportunities as well.

 According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics , the demand for Sign Language Interpreters is expected to rise from 46% from 2012 to 2022 , an increase of 29,300 jobs.

To be eligible for the course, the candidate should have

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks
  • Functional hands
  • Fluency in at least one language
  • Hearing in the normal range

On successful completion of the course, the trainees are assisted with placements in the Industry
