West Program
Ashray Akruti has started a new project called WEST which stands for Women Empowerment through Sign Language and Technology. This
program is aimed to empower the women from underprivileged background through sign language and technology.
Ashray Akruti has created this platform for women who are motivated and are willing to stand on their feet and contribute to their family. Unfortunately these women don’t have enough opportunities to excel in life. They can be mothers to the hearing impaired children, friends of
deaf/specially abled people and enthusiastic sign language learners. These women have been imparted knowledge on Sign language, Spoken
English, communication, financial, computer, soft skills and technology. WEST program will also pay a decent stipend throughout 3 months span
of course so that, they can spend time and complete the course. Ashray Akruti shall be providing employment to some of the women in its
projects and will also assist them to be get placed in different organizations as well.
This project WEST is another feather in Ashray Akruti’s hat. This project is a joint initiative of Ashray Akruti and its CSR partners Synechron, Loins
Club and Give India.
