Born with profound hearing loss, twin sisters Sathwika and Karthika faced a future shaped by poverty and silence. Their parents longed to help them hear and learn but could not afford the cochlear implant surgeries they needed. Through the support of Ashray Akruti and Persistent Foundation, the twins underwent successful surgeries at CARE Hospital, followed by rehabilitation and Auditory-Verbal Therapy. Today, they are hearing, learning, and moving toward a future filled with possibility—showing how timely compassion can transform young lives.

Born with Down syndrome and intellectual disability, Piyush faced early challenges in communication, learning, and daily living, and initial schooling efforts were unsuccessful. In 2017, he joined Ashray Akruti’s Child Development Centre in Borabanda, where a personalised therapy plan helped him steadily build skills through special education, behaviour therapy, and occupational therapy. Today, Piyush communicates confidently, manages daily tasks independently, and is preparing for vocational training at NIMH—moving toward a more independent and fulfilling future.

Diagnosed with profound hearing loss at just two years old, Ashritha’s parents knew early intervention was critical. With guidance from Ashray Akruti, she was fitted with hearing aids and began therapy soon after. Supported by Ashray Akruti and The Hans Foundation, Ashritha received cochlear implants early in life and continued with consistent Auditory Verbal Therapy. Today, she communicates confidently, studies in a mainstream school, and thrives in activities like Bharatanatyam and karate—showing how early support and sustained care can turn silence into opportunity.
