Established in Hyderabad in 1996, Ashray Akruti is a registered non-profit, non-religious and non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving the lives of persons with disabilities from underserved and marginalised communities.

From One School to a Wider Movement
Ashray Akruti began the journey in 1996 with a Special School for children with hearing impairment. Over three decades, that beginning has grown into a wider range of initiatives spanning Education, Health Care and Skill Development.
Today, the organisation implements 39 projects across Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and other locations across India.
Ashray Akruti’s work reaches beyond providing services. It is about creating pathways to learning, communication, independence, employment and inclusion.
