Ashray Akruti is a registered non-profit, non-religious organization; working since 1996, to improve the lives of people with disability and marginalized sections of society. The organization strongly believes in the potential of persons with disability and envisions a society where people with disability lead a life of dignity as equal citizens with equitable access to opportunities and services.
Responding to the need in the community for quality facilities for hearing impaired children ,Ashray Akruti started its first special school in Hyderabad in the year 1996 with just five children. Today , the organization implements projects across health, education and skill development in the area of disability with a focus on hearing impairment.
Ashray Akruti has in-house expertise comprising of Development professionals, Special Educators Speech Therapist, Audiologist and dedicated Volunteers who can implement the projects with defined goals and measurable outcomes.
Ashray Akruti is an accredited organization certified by “Credibility Alliance”, and GuideStar India and Crisil following norms of accountability, transparency and good governance. The organization is empaneled with the National CSR hub of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The organization is also associated with Give India, CAF India, CAF America, Benevity, and Goodera.

The organization has a proven track record of over two decades in giving children and youth with disabilities a chance at preparing themselves for the real world and providing them the confidence to lead a life of dignity.
